Eric has a passion for rural hospitals. In an environment where rural hospitals are experiencing financial volatility, Eric is driven to help these facilities identify their weaknesses and implement corrective actions that will generate sustained financial stability.

On his journey to becoming a rural hospital CFO, Eric served in the roles of Accountant, Business Office Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager. The experience gained in these key financial areas helped Eric to become a well-rounded financial manager who understands the complexities of healthcare finance. Utilizing this experience, Eric specializes in providing financial guidance to hospitals facing financial uncertainty. In recognizing inefficiencies prevalent throughout all revenue cycle processes, Eric is an experienced change manager that results in improved cash flow.

Eric has experience working directly with investigative teams and regulatory auditors. He has consulted with these teams during investigations into matters including theft, inappropriate accounting practices, and collections practices. Eric is also an experienced Chief Operating Officer with insight into the daily challenges that face the ancillary and clinical departments within a hospital. Having worked in and managed both financial and clinical departments, Eric has an understanding of the challenges involved in the financial management of hospitals and medical practices. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University. Eric previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Allen Parish Hospital and DeSoto Regional Health System. Eric is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has earned the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and Certified Specialist Accounting and Finance credentials.
