David Caston

Get to Know David

David is an experienced healthcare executive and hospital administrator. In addition to leading Impact as the CEO, David also serves as the CEO of Reeves Memorial Medical Center where he has led the organization since November of 2013. David has succeeded in a variety of hospital administrative positions including Vice President of Clinical Services at Lincoln General Hospital and Assistant CEO of Northern Louisiana Medical Center. David also spent five years in senior-level management positions within the Veterans Health Administration where he served on numerous national and regional committees. With extensive healthcare experience in both hospital and physician practice operations, David supports healthcare providers with a wealth of knowledge and proficiency.

David earned a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his undergraduate degree in Business from Louisiana Tech University while also playing collegiate golf for two years. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Medical Group Management Association.

David is native of Louisiana and is very active within the community of Ruston. David’s board memberships include Ashlar Medical, the American Association of Medical Administrators in Alabama, the Louisiana Tech University Alumni Association, and for three years on the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In 2009, David was elected to serve as the Vice Chair of Economic Development for the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. David serves as a deacon of his church, as chairman of the Missions Committee, and has played an active role in developing mission opportunities for church members.

Landon Tooke

Get to Know Landon

Landon is a dynamic healthcare executive with experience including clinical and administrative duties in a hospital setting, sales, compliance, cybersecurity, medical practice management, and hospital administration. He excels at working with hospitals and medical practices in financial turnarounds with specific emphasis on personnel development, business culture, compliance, and the revenue cycle, and regularly speaks on the subjects at regional and national conferences and association meetings. Landon served as CEO of Reeves Memorial Medical Center and as Interim CEO of LTP Medical Mobile, Inc. Before joining the Impact team, he worked as a sales executive for Clinical Pathology Laboratories and as a clinician in Cardiovascular Services for a large acute care hospital.

Landon earned a Master of Legal Studies degree in Health Law from the College of Law at the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana Tech University. Landon earned graduate certificates in Strategic Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Healthcare Organization Operations from Rutgers University. Landon is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He holds five compliance and cybersecurity certifications from four different associations. Landon is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, the American Health Law Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, and the American Academy of Professional Coders. Landon is also a member of the Healthcare Business Management Association for which he served on the Compliance Accreditation Committee and currently serves on the Ethics Committee.

In 2010, Landon was elected to serve as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Louisiana Hospital Association Northeast District. In 2011, Landon became a founding member of the Louisiana Rural Hospital Task Force. Landon was elected in 2010 to the Board of Directors of the Ruston/Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, served as Secretary and Treasurer in 2013, and was elected to serve as the Board Chairman in 2014. From 2009-2010, Landon served as the Founding Executive Director of Overture Youth Advocacy Through the Arts, a non-profit organization based in Dallas, TX, that promotes and supports art and musical activities across the United States. After serving on the organization’s Advisory Board for the next year, Landon assumed the role of Treasurer and CFO in 2011. From 2014-2015, Landon served as the President of the Board of Directors of Beacon Performing Arts Association of Dallas, TX.

 

 

Lenin Lemus

With more than 15 years of experience in revenue cycle management and operations improvement, Lenin provides vast healthcare business strategy experience and a strong understanding of the medical billing industry. Lenin has built revenue cycle teams and developed talent for both hospitals and medical practices.

Lenin began his career in healthcare as a medical biller learning the intricacies of revenue cycle processes and best practices. He advanced to become the Operations Manager for an international medical billing company that serviced clients across the United States. Lenin has played an integral role in establishing Impact as one of the nation’s premier medical billing companies providing services to rural hospitals.

Lenin oversees hiring, training, day-to-day revenue cycle operations, and customer accounts. He also serves as the primary administrator of personnel. Lenin is highly skilled in recognizing employees’ strengths and directing employees to leverage those strengths and achieve an individual’s full potential. This style of management is essential to consistently bring expertise and efficiency to every step of the revenue cycle.

Eric Cripps

Eric has a passion for rural hospitals. In an environment where rural hospitals are experiencing financial volatility, Eric is driven to help these facilities identify their weaknesses and implement corrective actions that will generate sustained financial stability.

On his journey to becoming a rural hospital CFO, Eric served in the roles of Accountant, Business Office Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager. The experience gained in these key financial areas helped Eric to become a well-rounded financial manager who understands the complexities of healthcare finance. Utilizing this experience, Eric specializes in providing financial guidance to hospitals facing financial uncertainty. In recognizing inefficiencies prevalent throughout all revenue cycle processes, Eric is an experienced change manager that results in improved cash flow.

Eric has experience working directly with investigative teams and regulatory auditors. He has consulted with these teams during investigations into matters including theft, inappropriate accounting practices, and collections practices. Eric is also an experienced Chief Operating Officer with insight into the daily challenges that face the ancillary and clinical departments within a hospital. Having worked in and managed both financial and clinical departments, Eric has an understanding of the challenges involved in the financial management of hospitals and medical practices. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University. Eric also currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Allen Parish Hospital and DeSoto Regional Health System. Eric is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has earned the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and Certified Specialist Accounting and Finance credentials.

Phillip Thomas

Phillip believes that the key to any business’s success is for it to have a great organizational structure where goals are aligned, processes and personnel are set up properly, and productivity is maximized. Phillip served as Director of Human Resources at two hospitals where he saw success in building Human Resources departments from the ground up. He also served in a recruitment and business development role for many years in the blood banking industry where he interacted daily with wide range of business, political, educational and religious leaders.

Phillip obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. He is a current member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) where he has obtained his SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP) credentials, and currently serves on the Louisiana SHRM State Council as the State Director for Workforce Readiness. Phillip is a longtime volunteer of Ducks Unlimited and has served as Area Chairman for Jackson Parish for eighteen years. He worked tirelessly for his local Dixie Softball board for ten years, including serving as President for three years.

Melanie McGivney

Melanie has expertise in hospital and medical practice revenue cycle processing, healthcare leadership, office management, human resources, and information technology. Prior to joining Impact, Melanie served for six years as the Business Office Supervisor and Contract Administrator for Northern Louisiana Medical Center, a 165-bed acute care facility providing services including Level II NICU, women’s health, intensive care, cardiology, vascular surgery, and cardiac rehab. Melanie began her career as a Human Resources Director, Business Office Director, and Network Administrator for a combined fourteen years. Melanie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University. Melanie is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional, a Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist, and a Certified Rural Health Coding and Billing Specialist.

He is tasked with project management for each new customer implementation. Yader is an experienced business process manager and consultant specializing in root cause analysis, process improvement, project management, team management, and technology systems. Yader earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from Catholic University Redemptoris Mater and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Ibero-American University of Science and Technology.

Otto is a Certified Professional Coder with over 15 years of experience in medical billing and coding. He earned certifications in Professional, Outpatient, and Inpatient coding through the American Academy of Professional Coders. Otto provides customers in all specialties and all facility types with education and guidance in medical coding, billing, auditing, documentation, compliance and practice management. He supervises a team of coders and provides medical coding training to new team members and to customers. Otto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Engineering.
